Storyhouse Studio is a 1,200 sqft natural light studio designed with versatility and cinematic excellence in mind. Our dedicated team ensures that you have everything you need to have a successful shoot from the time you book to the time you walk out the door.

Yes. Appointments may be rescheduled up until 24-hours before your booking. Instead of canceling your calendar invite, send us an email at Hello@storyhouse.studio - You may reschedule your booking 1 time.

• Cancel 7+ days from booking: Full refund (minus processing fee) or studio credit

• Cancel within 7–1 days: 50% refund (minus processing fee) or 50% studio credit

• Cancel <24 hours or no-show: No refund

Your booking appointment should include the time it takes to set up, prep, and break down.  Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your session.

If you anticipate being late, please text/call our Studio Manager immediately at 512.893.4390.

Going overtime:

There is a 3 hour booking requirement which accounts for resetting the studio. 

Any time beyond the booking period incurs a 30-minute charge ($75). Overtime is only available if the studio isn’t booked after you.  If it looks like you may go overtime, ask the Studio Manager during your session if overtime is possible.

If you typically need 15-20 minutes for setup/breakdown, we recommend booking an additional hour to avoid overtime charges.

The standard package includes:

• (2) Nanlite Forza 60B II (Bi-Color) (2700k-6500k)

• (1) Nanlite Forza 300B II (Bi-Color) (2700k-6500k)

• (2) extension cords

• (1) 75- inch Samsung Frame TV

We have cinema-line equipment, lighting, and sound equipment available for an additional cost.  Reference the list of Add-ons on the home page and schedule a Discovery Call with Studio Manager.

• High Speed Google Fiber Wifi

• Lobby includes: Fridge, Microwave, Sink, Filtered Drinking Water (hot/cold), Group Coffee Machine, Solo Keurig Coffee Machine, and complimentary Keurig Coffee Pods and Tea Bags.  The Lobby area is shared space with Storyhouse Studio staff.   

• Hair & Makeup Space includes: Table, Mirror with lights, Clothing Rack with Hangers, and emergency Beauty and First Aid Supplies. (Room shared with equipment overflow space)

• Equipment Overflow Space:  5’x5’ space can be used for equipment storage. (Room shared with hair & makeup space).

Restrooms are located in the building common area, one door down from the studio suite. 

Yes. Our team is often available onsite in the back office to answer any questions you have during your booking. If no one onsite, we are available on-call via phone.

Please

• No glitter/confetti, parties, or excessive alcohol

• No illegal drugs, no smoking, no vaping

• No nudity

• Be considerate of our neighbors– keep voices low in the shared entryway to avoid disrupting our neighbors

• Clean up food and drinks

• Dispose of trash in the dumpster downstairs on the SE outside of the building. 

• Return moved props and furniture to their original positions.  It’s best to take a photo of the space in advance to match the original locations.

• You are financially responsible for any damage to the property during your session

Hours of Operation: 8am-9pm
If your booking is on a weekend, begins before 8am or ends after 5pm,  you will need an access card for the building.

Security: Doors are locked until 8am and after 6pm Monday through Friday. They are locked all hours on the weekends. You will need to pick up the exterior building key card (preferably) the day before the booking and leave them on the table next to the sink when you check out.  You will receive a Rental Guide with the keycode to the Storyhouse Studio suite the day before your booking.  

Parking availability: There is ample free parking available on both sides of the building.

Loading Equipment: Storyhouse Studio is located on the 2nd floor of the building.  There is an elevator.  Unloading vehicles is most accessible on the NE side of the building. 

There are many local restaurants within walking distance.  A list of our recommendations are included in the Rental Guide that will be emailed to you the day before your booking.
